The Władimirec T-25, often simply called “Władek” by Polish farmers, earned its place in the countryside as a light, versatile tractor that punched well above its weight. Manufactured from the mid-1960s at the Vladimir Tractor Plant in the USSR, it became a common sight in Poland from the 1970s onward, valued for its simplicity, agility, and low operating costs.
Built for Versatility
Weighing just over two tons and delivering around 25 horsepower from its air-cooled, two-cylinder diesel engine, the T-25 was perfectly suited for small to medium-sized farms. Its modest dimensions allowed it to work comfortably between tight rows, navigate orchards, and operate in areas where larger tractors struggled. The efficient engine offered excellent fuel economy, making it ideal for long days in the field without frequent refueling.
Simple, Sturdy, and Service-Friendly
The Władimirec was built with straightforward mechanics—no complex electronics or delicate components—so repairs could often be done on the farm with basic tools. Its mechanical gearbox provided a good range of working speeds, while the rugged rear three-point hitch and PTO (power take-off) made it compatible with a wide variety of implements, from mowers to seeders and trailers.

In Poland, the T-25 quickly found favor for jobs like cultivating, harrowing, light plowing, and transporting goods. Its maneuverability and light footprint meant it could work on soft or uneven ground without causing excessive soil compaction.
