The WFM M06, produced by the Warsaw Motorcycle Factory (Warszawska Fabryka Motocykli) from 1955 to 1966, became one of Poland’s most popular motorcycles of the post-war era. Affordable, easy to maintain, and reliable, it was the daily transport choice for thousands of riders—from city commuters to rural workers.
Simple, Sturdy, and Practical Design
The M06 featured a steel frame, classic motorcycle silhouette, and minimal bodywork, making it straightforward to service and resilient against everyday wear. Its upright seating position and comfortable saddle provided a relaxed ride, while the clean, functional styling reflected the practical needs of the time.
Reliable Two-Stroke Performance
Powered by a 123cc single-cylinder two-stroke engine producing around 6 horsepower, the M06 could reach speeds of approximately 80 km/h. While modest in performance, it was fuel-efficient and capable of handling both city streets and rural roads. A 3-speed manual gearbox and drum brakes made it simple to operate and easy to repair.

The M06 was widely used for commuting, small deliveries, and leisure rides. Its low running costs and mechanical simplicity meant it was accessible to new riders, while its durability ensured long service life even under daily use. For many Poles, it represented their first taste of motorized freedom.
