A brief history of the factory
The origins of PAFAWAG date back to the 19th century. After 1945, the factory was rebuilt and specialized in electric rolling stock. It produced the first post-war Polish electric locomotive EP02 and entire generations of vehicles that defined Polish railways for decades.
